Special edition of Groene Peper

Three educational institutions, each bringing their own strengths to the table — and together making a difference — are hosting Groene Peper this year. From doers to thinkers, from practice to research: sustainability requires collaboration across educational boundaries. This year, SUMMA, Fontys and Eindhoven University of Technology are joining forces as equal hosts of Groene Peper.

SUMMA

SUMMA is at the heart of society. Here, students learn by creating, testing and improving, often in collaboration with companies and organisations from the region. At SUMMA, sustainability is not an abstract concept, but something you apply every day in your profession. Whether it concerns circular construction, healthcare innovations or smart technology, SUMMA demonstrates how practical solutions can be the driving force behind sustainable change. SUMMA’s strength lies in action, craftsmanship and direct impact.

Fontys

At Fontys, it’s all about building bridges. Between theory and practice, between education and society, and between different disciplines. Fontys students and lecturers work on complex issues that require collaboration and creativity. Sustainability is an integral part of education and research here, with a focus on people, technology and society. Fontys brings the perspective of the connector: working together on solutions that are scalable and applicable.

Eindhoven University of Technology

TU/e looks ahead. With groundbreaking research and technological innovations, the university provides the knowledge needed for systemic change. From energy and mobility to data and health: sustainability is woven into the DNA of TU/e. Here, questions are asked that go beyond today, and answers are sought that will shape the world of tomorrow.
