Programme 2026 !

Welcome to Groene Peper! The doors are open. Take your time to settle in, grab a cup of coffee or tea, and get to know the other participants. Enjoy the atmosphere, connect with others and get ready for an inspiring day! The programme starts at 9.30 am, so make sure you’ve found a seat in good time. Oh, and you might just bump into a very special ‘doctor’. Have fun!

During this high-energy pressure cooker session, mixed student teams (MBO, HBO, and WO) tackle urgent challenges from the Province of North Brabant. In a single day, you will move from problem to visual concept and a powerful pitch. Using Design Thinking and industry expertise, you will develop scalable solutions for a circular economy or digital equal opportunity.

Maartje Bregman is Cheerleader for Good.

When she talks about sustainability, a spark is ignited, and it’s infectious. Her audience becomes enthusiastic and often shares afterwards how they’re already making a difference, or how her story has inspired them to do so.

Maartje doesn’t like pointing fingers. She prefers to connect by sketching out relatable situations: feelings of powerlessness, frustration and ignorance. You feel heard, understood and motivated to take action. She is ambitious and a ‘dreamer who takes action’.

In her keynote, she highlights the urgency of climate change, focusing on the impact it is already having right now. She then moves on to: how can I, as part of society, make a difference? Her own experience demonstrates how important a positive and hopeful narrative is for your mental health, but also because it allows you to reach a wider audience.

I want people to leave the room with their heads held high, realising that they are part of the solution.’

The Rachel Carson Graduation Award recognises students who have carried out groundbreaking research in the field of the environment and sustainability. The award is named after the writer and ecologist who, with her book *Silent Spring* (1962), first brought environmental issues to the forefront of public attention.

During this festive award ceremony, the nominees will present their final-year projects and the winner will be announced. Discover the talent of the next generation of environmental professionals!

The SustainaBul is the definitive annual sustainability ranking for Dutch higher education. Since 2012, Studenten voor Morgen has been assessing universities and universities of applied sciences on sustainability in education, research and operations.

What makes it special? It is the only ranking of its kind that is carried out entirely by students. Curious to see which institution will take the crown this year? Be there for the announcement!
