Jeike Wallinga is a lecturer in Energy Transition at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences. With her team of researchers and teacher-researchers, she works – from a technical perspective – on accelerating the energy transition. This includes developing an energy transition-inclusive curriculum, adopting a systems approach to innovations, and providing sound data-driven justifications. Jeike is passionate about sustainability and holds a degree in physics with a specialization in energy physics. She has previously worked as a program manager at a large corporate company and at a grid operator. Additionally, she has contributed to the energy transition at the local level through her own company. When it comes to the energy transition, Jeike prioritizes energy conservation: saving energy by making different choices (NOT doing things) and achieving important tasks with less energy.
