The future of sustainable universities: students exploring impact pathways and roadmaps (ENG)
Tijd: 11.35 – 12.10
Sprekers: Anete Veidemane & Ben Jongbloed
Join us in envisioning a future where universities are beacons of sustainability. This session invites students to explore their aspirations and confront the challenges they encounter in their daily lives, paving the way for a roadmap towards a sustainable university.
Through a collaborative sense-making process, participants will collectively shape a shared vision while gaining insights into the diverse perspectives of their peers. They will then be introduced to impact pathways and tools designed to tailor their own Sustainability Roadmaps for a sustainable university.
Students will have the opportunity to collaborate in small teams, crafting their ideal vision for a future university, or alternatively, they can focus on analyzing and enhancing the sustainability practices of their current institutions.
This workshop builds upon a successful session offered to European Deans, vice-deans, and representatives as part of the European decode project (https://decode-council.org/). For the first time, this workshop is being made available to students.
The collective sense-making process aligns closely with the conference theme of inner transformation, as understanding the perspectives of others enriches our worldview and fosters personal growth.
Don’t miss this chance to contribute to shaping the future of higher education.
