Therez Walker, PhD is a Senior Lecturer focused on Sustainability in Hospitality and Tourism at Hotel Management School, NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences and at the University of Groningen, Campus Fryslân, Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. Her academic research focuses on sustainable tourism/hospitality, and how to better maximize sectoral linkages to realize the three pillars of sustainability. In addition to academic activities, she has a background in consultancy, working with destination management organizations (DMOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
