As a student at Leiden University – ICT in Business and the Public Sector, I see the difficulty IT-departments have in both defining, measuring and developing policy for their sustainability. I feel that in order for society to take the next step in sustainability organizations need to be brought within the Doughnut, because Doughnut Economics is a model that understands ecological theory can only provide useful answers for the global ecological crisis if it is combined with social theory, and vice versa. Contributing towards this dream of sustainability is what drives me.
